Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves the operas and tangos along with the dramatic shows that she attends. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense singing instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. Following her move from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music in the present.
