Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish Flamenco and pop artist from Spain. As in her teens, Rosalia has worked in both the popular and the traditional genres of music. However, her musical interests are also extending to diverse genres such as hip-hop, soul and soul. Her voice is called by a greater artist than the flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but that has a smoky tinge like classic songs. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist The follow-up album she released in 2018 El Mal Querer was a important commercial and critical breakthrough that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting an Grammy. In 2021, the single La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry, James Blake and other performers. The set began to be released in conjunction with the Saturday Night Live performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the very first Spanish singer to be the only solo performer on the show. Motomami Rosala along with winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, was also the first woman ever to receive both of these awards.
